750,000 reasons to smile

Today marks an important milestone in The Big Pipe Project

Thanks to your generosity, The Big Pipe Project appeal has just topped the £750,000 mark!  We’re well on the way to reaching our £1million target before the taps get turned on in Adi Sibhat in a couple of weeks time.

Your donations are still being doubled

Every pound you contribute to The Big Pipe project is being matched by a generous WaterAid donor, but there’s not much time left, as this offer will end soon*. There are just a few days left for your donation to go twice as far to help us reach even more people in communities like Adi Sibhat all over Ethiopia.

We are really proud of what we do and how you’re helping us

Simple technology like gravity flow schemes. Working with amazing partners like Yared. Using local materials and labour. Sanitation provision and training. Teaching people the skills they need to keep water-points working. All this means we can quickly deliver transformation in communities like we’re seeing in Adi Sibhat right now!

In just a few short months this community has gone from trekking to a dangerous water source shared with their animals; from suffering regular and crippling episodes of sickness and defecating in the open; to being just days away from a completely different future with clean water and all the great things which come with it.

A future which was unimaginable just a few months ago.

I know that the community in Adi Sibhat won’t rest until the works are complete and they have clean water. With your help we won’t stop until everyone, everywhere in Ethiopia and beyond gets their chance to enjoy the transformation we’re seeing in Adi Sibhat.
